It's interesting to note that I initially had zero interest in becoming a therapist or a school counselor, but ended up pursuing both roles, and about 5 years in, transitioned to other positions that were fulfilling for me. However, I didn't go rogue and waste my Master's Degree. Instead, I utilized the skills and strengths I acquired during my time as a counselor in these new roles. If I had a $1 for every person who asked me how I uniquely crafted my career path and broke the mold of a traditional counselor, I'd be rich.
Most of you didn't know until recently how I came back full circle to deciding I was ready to re-open that (virtual) door to my private practice. While it may sound like I couldn't decide whether I was coming or going, each decision I made was because of what I have coined "serendipitous signals". Fortunate opportunities are not coincidence, but you will miss them if you are unsure how to look for them. These signs gave me leeway to create my own path and build an intuitive sense of direction. Not every job was an epic failure, and not every job was a perfect fit. Each and every role had key elements that guided me towards understanding and clearly articulating what I wanted, what I didn't, what were non-negotiables, and what would push me into a "growth spurt".
The roadmap I created gives me the confidence to know the answers lie within, and whatever the circumstances, my creativity, resourcefulness, and self-trust will be exactly what propel me forward.

This process has significantly boosted my confidence by reaffirming that by trusting my intuition and remaining authentic, I not only gain a deeper understanding of myself but also move closer to fulfilling my purpose.
